A Daelmans Stroopwafel is a delicious treat. But have you ever tried to warm up the Stroopwafel on top over a steaming hot cup of coffee or tea? This old Dutch tradition makes the butter syrup filling between the waffles melt a little.
Daelmans Stroopwafels are made with only the best ingredients. We don’t have a recipe on how to make our Stroopwafel. But we do have several other delicious recipes with Stroopwafel in it. Have a look at our stories for some recipes.
How to eat a Stroopwafel may differ. Our favourite way to thoroughly enjoy your Stroopwafel is to warm it up over a steaming hot cup of coffee or tea. It is an old Dutch ritual called ‘Wake the wafel’. It only takes three steps:
1. Rest a Stroopwafel on top of your hot cup of coffee or tea
2. Wait for about two minutes to allow the caramel to get all soft and melty
3. Your wafel is now awake. Go on then, bite into the gooey goodness!
