Daelmans Stroopwafels are made up of freshly baked dough, sandwiched together with a delicious gooey caramel syrup filling (Stroop). Each Stroopwafel is loaded with caramel that gets all mixed up and chewy once you bite into it.

Our Stroopwafels are so good, because they are made with only the best ingredients. The crispy waffles filled with a delicious caramel syrup filling, makes the Stroopwafel so crispy and smooth at the same time. Everywhere we go, people just love the Daelmans Stroopwafels as we do, from the very first bite.

The manufacturing of the Stroopwafels takes place at the production location located in Oss, Netherlands. The head office of Daelmans Stroopwafels is based in Nieuwkuijk.

Our Stroopwafels are made by our bakers. Our bakers always succeed in making our authentic Stroopwafel so crispy and smooth at the same time. A big compliment to them.

No, Daelmans Stroopwafels do not contain any (traces of) peanuts, nuts and sesame. Daelmans Stroopwafels are made in a facility where no peanuts, nuts or sesame are processed.

Daelmans Stroopwafels are not lactose-free or dairy-free. With the exception of the Gluten Free Stroopwafels, these are both lactose-free and dairy-free. 

Daelmans Stroopwafels do not contain egg. Daelmans Stroopwafels are produced in a facility where no egg is present. However, this does not apply to the Best Bakeries gluten-free Stroopwafels, they are produced in a different facility and do contain egg.

No. Sometimes it confuses people that there is “Bourbon Vanilla” in our Stroopwafels. Bourbon Vanilla however does not refer to the bourbon drink, but to the island of Bourbon (nowadays Madagascar) where the vanilla comes from.

Daelmans stroopwafels are Halal suitable: they do not contain any additives with an animal origin. Daelmans stroopwafels (with the exception of gluten-free stroopwafels) are Kosher Dairy certified via Triangle K.

The mono and diglycerides of fatty acids (or E471) used in Daelmans Stroopwafels are from plant origin. Therefore the Daelmans Stroopwafels are suitable for vegetarians.

No, Stroopwafels are not bad for you. The great thing about Stroopwafels, is that they are individual portions. Nothing is bad for you if eaten in moderation, along with our bigger packs, we also pack individually or as a duo pack, enabling portion control.

The Original Daelmans Stroopwafels are not gluten free. Our Stroopwafels are typically made with the ingredients ‘wheat and dairy’. The ingredient wheat contains gluten. But we do have delicious gluten free Stroopwafels. You can find them on our webshop.

Our Stroopwafels only contain 150 calories: it’s the perfect small indulgence to satisfy your sweet tooth, and you don’t feel like you’re stuffed. Our Stroopwafels are individually wrapped, so there is a less chance of going overboard..

No, Daelmans Stroopwafels are not vegan. All Our Stroopwafels are made with butter which contains milk. The Daelmans organic honey Stroopwafels contain organic honey. Therefore Daelmans Stroopwafels are unsuitable for vegans.


The shelf life of Daelmans  Stroopwafels is approximately 5 – 9 months unless otherwise indicated. If the Stroopwafels have an expiry date less than 4 months, we will indicate the expiry date in the product information.

The Daelmans Stroopwafels are best stored in a dry, dark place in a closed pack or box. Never store the Stroopwafels in a warm place. Stroopwafels are sensitive for temperature differences and syrup may leek out when storage temperature is to high.

We can’t apply a discount afterwards. Very unfortunate of course, but it’s unrealistic to adjust all orders afterwards.

If you have a valid VAT number, you can enter it in the VAT field during checkout. Our system will check if the VAT number is valid, if the country to which your order is shipped is a EU country and if the address is correct. If it passes the check, the VAT on your order is reversed to you. There will be no VAT calculated on the invoice and you are responsible to declare this shipment on your VAT Return.


We ship all of our Stroopwafels as fresh as possible. All orders that are placed before noon (CET) will be shipped on the same day. Orders that are to be shipped within the Netherlands will be shipped with DHL.

We ship all of our international orders within Europe with DHL or UPS and all orders outside Europe are shipped with UPS and UPS. The average transit time is 2-4 business days, depending on your location.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, you might experience a delay in delivery of your package.

How to eat a Stroopwafel

Yes, you can microwave Stroopwafels. Put the Stroopwafel in the microwave for about 10 seconds. It’ll make the Stroopwafel really creamy and soft.

A Daelmans Stroopwafel is a delicious treat. But have you ever tried to warm up the Stroopwafel on top over a steaming hot cup of coffee or tea? This old Dutch tradition makes the butter syrup filling between the waffles melt a little.

How to eat a Stroopwafel may differ. Our favourite way to thoroughly enjoy your Stroopwafel is to warm it up over a steaming hot cup of coffee or tea. It is an old Dutch ritual called ‘Wake the wafel’. It only takes three steps:

1. Rest a Stroopwafel on top of your hot cup of coffee or tea
2. Wait for about two minutes to allow the caramel to get all soft and melty
3. Your wafel is now awake. Go on then, bite into the gooey goodness!
